Haiti Relief: Matching 1:2 in member donations for a maximum of $1 million.
Our employee gift matching program Thrivent Gift Multiplier, is unchanged. Our member gift matching program, Giving Plus, which offered a match of $1 for every $2 donated by our members to Lutheran organizations, has been discontinued, and will be rolled over into a new program called Thrivent Choices in 2010. Eligible participants:Current or retired FT&PT corporate employees,associates in the field org., & current/retired directors of AAL,LB,or Thrivent Financial for Lutherans executive boards may participate.See form URL for maximum levels. No donor advised funds. No church contributions or to public schools. $20K max cap to any one org. |
Procedure: |
 Employee donor sends check to matching gift company, authorized company officer adds matching gift check and forwards both to the recipient institution. Employee donor sends form with gift to recipient institution, authorized officer certifies and returns to company for match.- Employee donor contacts corporation via telephone to report gift and initiate match.
- Employee donor presents evidence of gift (receipt) to matching company, and company matches.
- Employee donor logs into the matching gift website and submits the master request to the program administrator's office. Donor's charitable institution is contacted by administrator to acknowledge the gift.
- Company accepts a faxed form completed and signed by an employee donor.
